Do I need an email acct?

A lot of people ask me do I need to set up an acct or can I just forward my emails to my (for example) gmail acct? Now while you can set up a forward to your mail email acct, I would recommend against it. If you set up a forward with no acct attached, then the emails do not go thru the SPAM filter. and considering 90% of all emails are spam, you will get bombarded. If you do not want that to occur. I would
A. Setup an email acct
B. set up a web forward on that acct you have set up to your main acct
C. Go into webmail say once per month and clear the emails out
Of course if you have an email client like Mozilla Thunderbird, it is relatively easy to set up an additional email acct and manage your mail that way
